Iceland has been my best travel experience ever – the diversity of the landscape, the raw beauty of its nature and the warmth of Icelandic people – all this and so much more has left me utterly spellbound and forever in love with this island country!

Snow clad mountains, ocean, glaciers, geothermal eruptions, lakes, volcanic craters, beautiful harbours, alien landscapes, lava fields, rains, nature trails, scenic fjords, ice caves and a vibrant capital city – No other place on Earth holds as much natural beauty as Iceland.

In May 2017, my wife and I spent 12 days in Iceland. And just like millions before us, we instantly fell in love with this magical country. Every road, every intersection in Iceland is an adventure waiting to be unfolded, a story waiting to be told. I’d read somewhere “Earth is alive in Iceland”. That was not a lie!

And there, in the midst of pristine natural beauty I felt alive! It felt like I was in the bosom of Mother Nature! Like a child – curious, excited and playful! Iceland has brought back my strong affinity for discovery, instilled a deep urge to rise beyond the mundanes of my existing metropolitan life and as is evident, reinvigorated my spirit to write!

Over the next few weeks, I shall be penning the memoirs my travel to this beautiful land and also helping you plan the best trip you’ll ever take – to the Land of Fire and Ice – Iceland!
